The small feline was running. Running away, away, away, because he wanted her. She wasn't sure why, but he was coming to find her. "Milkykit..." He crooned, but the sound of his claws digging in the dirt kept her going. Milkykit skerted a corner and dove behind a bush. Her chest was heaving, paws quivering, and eyes wide. She tried to quiet her breathing, but she'd been running so long she couldn't catch her breath. "Stop hiding! You insolent child, get. OUT!" He thundered, and Milkykit shrank further under the bush. Her ears, flat against her head, struggled not to twitch as the leaves tickled them. Then, the shadow tom's gleaming golden eyes set on her. She yelped with horror and pushed as far back into the bush as she could, terrified for her life. "Little kitty, It's SHOW TIME! COME OUT AND PLAY, Before we MAKE YOU!"

"Milks! Milkykit, get up." One of her siblings mewed, jolting her out of the dream, flanks rising up and down quickly. A stupid dream. She thought to herself, disgusted by her fear. It was only a silly dream. "What is it?" she muttered. It was still dark outside. "Mom and Mama are in the medicine den and I'm scared." They confessed. Milkykit raised one whisker-brow. "Of what?" she asked, nose wrinkling as she pondered. "The... the dark." They whispered, looking so innocently frightened she had to give in. "Alright, what can I do?" She flicked her orange-and-white tail mutinously. The shadow cat- no, shadow tom- crossed her mind and she suppressed a shudder. No wonder her sibling was afraid of the dark. If he was the dark, she'd NOT be scared too. She was the fearless Milkykit! No, MilkySTAR! And NOBODY was BRAVEREST THAN HER! She had gotten herself all twitchy and riled up. She got twitchy often. She despised the thought of being a warrior because she might get called a silly name. She had to trust Twilightstar and that was sorta scary. So, she'd just go from kit immediately to leader, obviously. That solved her problems. She'd rather be dreaming of the Dark Shadow Tom than dealing with her siblings. WHY was they afraid of the dark? Now she couldn't SLEEP! She needed her SLEEP! "C-can you tell me something happy?" They said nervously. "Like what, a story?" she retorted back, but her voice immediately softened. "Sorry, (Nickname here). I didn't mean it, bub." She tried to correct her actions quickly. "Well... it doesn't have to be, Milks. It can just be happy stuff." They offered, voice a quiet whisper as one of their siblings stretched sleepily before immediately falling asleep again. "No, I'll tell a story." She mewed hotly, avoiding shame. "Once there was a very happy kit." She began. "What was their name?" They prompted. "Lightningkit." she purred. "MOMMY!" Squeaked her sibling with a little bounce. "SSSHHH. Yes, Mommy." She whispered. "She was very interested in herbs. She loved visiting Cowtuft, sick or not. One day, Cowtuft said; 'Hey, Lightningkit. I've been meaning to ask you, but... how would you like to become my apprentice?'

"This made LIghtningkit so happy she bounced! Then, she said, 'Yes, yes I would, Cowtuft! That'd be wonderful!' So when Lightningkit became an apprentice, Cowtuft made her his apprentice. She dearly loved Cowtuft before he got exiled, so we must love Cowtuft, too. From afar." She finished. Her sibling was half-asleep and looking up at her dazedly. She'd never admit it, but she thought they looked adorable. She'd also never admit she didn't know if that was how the story went or not. Oh well... at least they ever sleeping. Curling up in the pile of her siblings, Milkykit once again fell asleep. But this time, she dreamed of little Mommy and Cowtuft, together. Side by side, working as one. And she was happy.
